Enjoy the Hallelujah Gospel Family Charity Concert
Join Ken Taylor and the Hallelujah Gospel Family for a night of gospel music, celebration and giving! On Saturday June 18, 2011, over 300 singers from 50 choir groups will gather at Rune Kodaira Concert Hall to sing in one voice music filled with love, hope and joy. All proceeds and donations will be given to CRASH Japan to help survivors of the earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear evacuation. Special guests include Bola Taylor, Ray Sidney, John Lucas, Gregory Hooper and Ruth Hooper.
Entry Fee: Free
Date: June 18
Time: Doors open at 6:00 p.m., concert begins at 6:30 p.m.
Location: Lune Kodaira, in front of Kodaira station, Seibu Shinjuku line. About 3 min. walking distance from the south exit.)

CRASH Japan Warehouse Opening Ceremony

Nasu, Japan — "Light of Hope" Ribbon Cutting at the newly completed CRASH Japan Warehouse southwest of Fukushima. (L to R) President of Nasu House Construction Company, Vice Mayor of Nasu, CRASH Japan Executive Director and CRASH Japan Nasu Base Leader. The warehouse will serve as a distribution center for survivors in Tohoku. Over eighty people attended the event where CRASH Japan Director Jonathan Wilson shared, "More than supplies, we want to send hope to the people of Japan." Since March 11, 2011 CRASH Japan has been leading efforts to meet physical, emotional and spiritual needs in the disaster-struck areas of Japan.

Local Church in Iwaki City Assists 1500 Survivors and Evacuees
Iwaki City, Japan - Supplies purchased from Costco with funds donated by Feed the Hungry and China Care were delivered by CRASH Japan to Nakoso Christ Church in Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture from mid-March to mid-April 2011 and provided an average of 50 disaster survivors and evacuees per day with supplies of food, water, clothing, and hygienic supplies.

Tona City, Sendai, Japan — The handwritten note on the front door said, “March 20. We’re all safe.” Inside, the giant tsunami had almost reached the ceiling of the living room as it swept away family treasures and brought in tons of black slimy sludge.

Since March 11, five bases have been established, 135 tons of goods delivered and more than 300 people have served as volunteers.
Higashi-Kurume, Japan—CRASH Japan, a Christian disaster-relief organization, today released its two-month progress and donor report detailing efforts following the massive earthquake and tsunami that struck northeast Japan on March 11, 2011.
